"OUTPOST IRIS"
Motivation
"Outpost Iris" was developed as part of my submission for our second-year game development group project at the University of Westminster. The goal was to create a prototype puzzle game using Unreal Engine and its visual scripting tools. I was chosen as the team leader for this project by my peers.
Key Features & Implementations
-
Security camera system
-
Fully rigged and animated enemy 3D model
-
Trap & diversion mechanics

Project Summary
In Outpost Iris, the player takes control of the security systems of a spaceship that has crashed on an alien planet. The mission is to stop the incoming waves of robotic AI using traps and diversions activated by the player. Taking advantage of the multiple CCTV cameras aboard the ship, the player must locate, divert, and destroy the enemy bots before they’re able to make it through the cargo hold and into the precious materials vault…

My contributions to the project included developing the core mechanics, menu systems and UI, 3D assets and animations, level design, and general game design. Check out the media below for a more in-depth look at Outpost Iris!
